Perpetual Orange Dome is a conceptual vinyl album created to raise awareness of light pollution and celebrate the night sky at Cherry Springs State Park. Inspired by a description of city light as a “perpetual orange dome,” the design layers metaphor and environmental urgency into a bold visual system. The album sleeve features a darkened tree line and muted sky, while removing the inner sleeve reveals a vivid starlit scene, reflecting what is lost to light pollution. Dynamic typography evokes the shimmering quality of starlight, while the inner design maps lyrics across a topographical layout of the park. The bright orange vinyl at its core ties the concept together, creating an artifact that blends storytelling, place, and impact.

To complement the album and raise awareness of Cherry Springs Park’s ongoing conservation work, a curated line of merchandise was created. The collection carries the album’s visual identity forward, offering functional pieces supporters can use or wear to help spread the message against light pollution.
